Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison responded to the scene of a fatal accident in Madison County late Tuesday night.
The accident occurred around 10 pm Tuesday night, in the area of Mount Vernon Road (US 25) and Slate Lick Roads in Madison County. This is towards the Madison/Rockcastle County line.
18-year-old Jared Vanwinkle of Shady Lane in Berea was reportedly riding his bicycle home from his job, and was struck by a motor vehicle. The teen was within a mile of his home when the accident happened.
