Organ donation is the sole reason 5 year old Aubrey is dancing, swimming, and playing soccer these days.
When she was only a few months old, she was able to receive a life-saving heart transplant. WBON-TV got to meet this little warrior and hear her story from her and her mother, as well as those involved in the organ donation process.
Frances Click from the Trust for Life had an integral role in this process, and says she is forever tied to Aubrey and her family. Circuit Court Clerk Allee Combs Whicker also spoke to us, and explained some of the myths involved in the organ donation process, and tells how to help save a life like Aubrey’s.
