(UpdateD) Power has been restored to all members impacted by the Millers Creek outage in Estill and surrounding counties.
(Earlier) Hundreds of people remain without power Sunday morning in Estill County after a car crashed into a utility pole.
Just over 500 members remain without power in Estill Co. KU had to bring a contractor crew from out of the area to set the new transmission pole that was damaged in a vehicle accident. JEC and KU crews have worked through the night.
Because of the extremely cold temperatures, when KU finishes their work, JEC will have to restore power in sections and that, too, could take several hours. We are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
