Kentucky State Police are currently investigating the early morning crash which claimed the life of one person and injured another.
The initial investigation indicates a full-size pickup truck was traveling south on Spout Springs Rd, when the driver lost control of the vehicle in a curve. The truck crossed the center line and collided with a minivan, operated by Justin Carson of Irvine, KY, who was traveling north.
As a result of the collision, Carson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Estill County Coroner. The driver of the truck was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for Carson’s family in their time of need.
