An investigation is now underway after a 6-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a bathtub and later died in Laurel County.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was found off KY 1006 shortly after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night. The 6-year-old was located by his mother, who then contacted authorities.
The child was pronounced dead by the Laurel County Coroner’s Office from an apparent drowning.
An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort to determine the cause of death.
