The primary suspect in an interstate shooting spree remains at large Sunday morning.
The incident, that has made national news, began Saturday. That’s when Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a gunshot victim complaint on I–75 at exit 49, approximately 8 miles north of London. That initial call came in around 5:30 p.m.
According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, arriving deputies discovered nine vehicles had been shot into both north and south bound on I-75. Five people were seriously injured.
Several law enforcement agencies converged on the scene to transport wounded, and to begin a search for the suspect.
That suspect is Joesph A. Couch of Woodbine Kentucky. He is considered armed and dangerous. He is a 32-year-old white male, approximately 5’10″, weighing approximately 154 lbs.
