A $1 million winning ticket was sold in Richmond last night, Friday July 29 2022, according to officials from the Kentucky Lottery. Lottery officials say that the ticket matched all five white ball winning numbers, but not the Mega Ball.
The Kentucky winner will walk away with the game’s second largest prize of $1 million.
Kentucky Lottery officials say that security staff are in the process of executing a number of security checks at the retailer where the winning ticket was sold, but once those checks are complete, they will release the name of the business that sold the winning ticket. The winner’s name has not been released at this time either, and will be up to the winner if that information is released.
Officials say that the winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure location until they claim their prize at the lottery’s headquarters in Louisville.
