A London man, who died after a crash yesterday in Laurel County, has been identified.
The fatal traffic crash on KY 192, approximately 5 miles west of London, occurred around 11:30 a.m. yesterday morning, December 26th. The collision closed the roadway for around 3 hours near Cold Hill School.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstructionist Deputy Brad Mink, along with other Sheriff’s investigators, say an off-road buggy driven by Charles King, 24 of London, crossed the center line colliding head on with a westbound Toyota SUV driven by Monty Turner, 69, of London.
Charles King was transported to a local hospital by Ambulance Inc of Laurel County and pronounced deceased by Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling a short time later.
Monty Turner was also taken to the hospital by personal vehicle for treatment of injuries.
Assisting at the scene was Laurel County Fire Department, and London-Laurel County Rescue Squad.
