Kentucky State Police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Knox County on KY 3439 near Higgin Hollow in Barbourville around 6:30p.m.
KSP’s initial investigation indicates a 2010 Dodge Ram driven by Phillip Cox was traveling north on KY 3439 when he struck a pedestrian who was walking in the road. That pedestrian has now been identified as Brandon T. Warren, 24, of Barbourville.
Warren was transported from the scene to Barbourville ARH for his life-threatening injuries by Knox County EMS. He was pronounced deceased by Knox County Deputy Coroner Brian Senters at 7:35 p.m.
KSP Detective Jake Middleton is heading up the investigation.
