In a story we brought you first on wbontv.com late Friday afternoon, the Fayette County Coroner has now released the name of the person who reportedly parked his car on the Clay‘s Ferry Bridge Friday afternoon, and whose body was found on the Fayette County side of the Kentucky River soon after.
According to the report, 23-year-old Nishit Patel of Lexington died of blunt force trauma from the fall, that happened a little before 6 PM Friday.
Many passerby’s reported seeing a person sitting on the side of the bridge prior to the body discovery.
The Fayette County Coroner says the victim “fell” off the bridge, but the manner in which Patel died is still under investigation.
