10th Planet Richmond delved back into competition after a short summer hiatus. The team traveled to Cincinnati for the Fuji Jiu Jitsu Cincinnati Fall event.
13 of the 10th Planet Richmond competitors went to battle and returned with 14 gold medals between the youth, teen, and adult divisions. Despite a small number of competitors traveling to Cincinnati, the Richmond group still managed to take the 2nd place overall placement for youth and teens.
10th planet Richmond also had 4 teens enter the adult division and came out with an overall adult 4th place. Combining the adult and youth team points, 10th planet Richmond came away as the runner up overall earing 2nd place as a team.
Among the competitors to shine, was Leif Burgin. He came away with a gold medal in the 12/13-year-old division besting competitors with a higher rank and experience. Natilee Wells and Votoria Lopes, despite being just 14 and 15 swept the adult women’s divisions earning gold medals.
The team now goes to prepare for GoodFight in London, KY on October 19th.
