10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Richmond traveled to the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) event in Cincinnati on January 10th and delivered an outstanding performance across all divisions.
The youth team had an impressive showing, tying for 1st place overall in the youth team standings. Notable performances came from Israel Prince and Rylan Durham, whose determination, discipline, and coachability stood out throughout the day. The entire youth squad demonstrated exceptional focus and teamwork while executing their coaches’ instructions.
Natilee Wells, an MCHS sophomore, competed in the adult women’s blue belt divisions, earning double gold in both gi and no-gi. She won all four matches by submission, an achievement that earned her a well-deserved promotion from youth orange belt to adult blue belt.
The adult team, consisting of five competitors, brought home an impressive medal haul of three gold and two bronze medals, continuing the team’s strong momentum into the new year.
