The GoodFight Tournament, one of the area’s only submission-only circuits, debuted in Richmond, KY on October 18, 2025. Held at the Telford YMCA, jiu-jitsu schools from across the region came together to compete in this unique ruleset format.
Four youth teams battled it out on the mats, with 10th Planet Richmond earning 1st place overall with 309 total points. Coming in 2nd was Hurricane MMA with 295 points, followed by 606 BJJ in 3rd with 80 points. The 10th Planet youth team walked away with 13 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
Notable youth performances included Isreal Prince, who impressed in his first-ever tournament—earning a gold medal after being bumped from the Novice to Beginner division—and Chuck Overburg, who claimed two gold medals and received the team vote for Most Improved Grappler.
The 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Richmond adult team also made a strong showing, securing 2nd place overall out of 20 teams—despite only fielding a handful of adult competitors and participating exclusively in the no-gi division. Garrett O’Neill was recognized as Most Improved Adult Grappler, as voted by the 10th Planet Richmond coaching staff.
Up next, three of the team’s standout athletes are in Miami, Florida preparing to compete at the IBJJF Pan Ams on October 19, 2025. Natilee Wells and Tor Lunnenborg are aiming to secure back-to-back Pan Am titles, while Raylan Hall looks to medal in his first major tournament appearance.
