Wednesday, September 19th all ten counties in the CSEP Program and the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management will be tested on their local responses. They will also be evaluated on how they work together as partners in responding to a challenging multi-jurisdictional disaster.
FEMA will be issuing a nationwide Presidential alert via cell phones on October 3rd as well, so be aware if you hear a loud noise coming from your cell phone. The Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, or IPAWS, integrates communication of a nationwide message across several delivery methods, including most cell phone providers.
