EKU resident advisor arrested, stripped of pay, and ban from hall, after rape charges


An EKU resident advisor from Martin hall has been arrested on charges of rape first degree. Thomas Haroules, 21, was taken into to custody on November 18th by EKU law enforcement. Haroules is accused of sexually assaulting a woman on numerous occasions starting in October of 2021.

The victim claims that she rejected the sexual advances and reported the instances to authorities in September of this year. According to a statement released by EKU Director of Public Relations, Sarah Baker, Haroules has been banned from his residence hall and suspended from all duties without pay.

Haroules is lodged in the Madison County Detention Center on a one hundred thousand dollar bond. WBON TV reached out to EKU for a comment, we will bring you more details as they become available.
