Publically Intoxicated Man Arrested, Trying to Dodge Warrant With False Name.


This past Sunday morning, Richmond Police reported patrolling the area of West Main Street and observing a man sitting on the sidewalk allegedly nodding out and in.

According to the citation, The officer made contact with the individual and also observed dilated pupils and red eyes. Police report requesting his name to which he allegedly answered “Tyler Slone”.

Officials state that during the process of confirming his name with dispatch, the subject began to walk away. He was promptly detained according to reports. Police further report advising the subject that giving false information is a crime. It was then the subject revealed his real name to be Michael Jackson. According to the citation, Jackson provided a social security card to prove his name. Dispatch verified his identity and discovered Jackson had a warrant out of Fayette County for a public intoxication charge.

Upon searching Jackson, police allegedly found less than a gram of a white crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine, Jackson was then transported and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center on charges of Public Intoxication and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree.
