Members and friends of the Madison Country Club marked a special day yesterday. The club was established in May of 1922, and yesterday marked its 100 year anniversary. It was an all day celebration with a food truck and drink specials, and of course lots of golf! The Country Club is a 9 hole course that has seen many re designs and improvements over the years, since its original design by a gentleman named Ernest Morris, a golf pro and architect at the time from Lexington.
The Madison Country Club lies on around 53 acres, just past Madison Central High School on Redhouse Road. A good time was had by all at the 100th anniversary celebration.
