Crash involving two tractor trailers stifles travel on I-75


A major accident at the 58 mm of interstate 75 today resulted in injuries to both drivers. According to the Mount Vernon Fire Department MVFD, one driver had to be removed from his truck by a long and technical extrication process. He was then transported by EMS personnel to a local hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m., during this afternoon’s rush hour traffic, bringing southbound traffic to a standstill for around an hour.

Assisting on scene were Brodhead Fire Department and Thoroughtruck Towing.
