Saturday night traffic stop by Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy yields drug bust, female arrested

According to a report released by the Madison County Sheriff’s office, on Saturday April 2nd, 2022 at approximately 2:10a.m., Deputy Foster initiated a traffic stop on Irvine Road for traffic violations. While on scene, Deputy Hamilton deployed K9 Tango to conduct a free air sniff. As a result, K9 Tango gave a conditioned response to the odor of narcotics. Throughout the course of the investigation at the scene of the traffic stop, subsequent search of the vehicle and further investigation at the Madison County Detention Center, the passenger, Ms. Cricket Wagoner, was arrested and charged with the following:

• Charge 1: POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG 1ST OFF (DRUG UNSPECIFIED)

• Charge 2: DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS

• Charge 3: PRESCRIPTION CONT SUB NOT PROPER CONTAIN 1ST OFF • Charge 4: PROMOTING CONTRABAND – 1ST DEGREE

• Charge 5: TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE

• Charge 6: TRAFF IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN) • Charge 7: POSS CONT SUB, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED
