KSP, Coroner: Shooting Investigation Underway in Madison County at home of Former State Representative


Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison confirms to WBONTV that there has been a shooting incident outside of Richmond city limits at a residence at 1266 Willis Branch Road. This is a property confirmed to be owned by former Kentucky State Representative C. Wesley Morgan. In a report issued by the Lexington Herald Leader, Morgan spoke to reporters and said that his 32-year-old daughter was killed in the shooting. He and his wife were also shot, according to the report. He is currently hospitalized in Lexington.

Investigators are on the scene attempting to determine what happened. KSP is requesting that if anyone saw anything suspicious in that area of Willis Branch between 3:45 to 4:30 a.m. they are asked to contact KSP Post Seven.

  1. WOW!!! This murder seems very, very intentional to this one woman in particular. And the intention may have easily come from someone who has waited for several years (3 – 6 yrs), in order to not be a suspect (in their mind).
