Stolen truck recovered after high speed pursuit in Estill


Earlier today WBON-TV9 posted a this picture to assist  the Estill County Sheriffs office who was looking for information about the vehicle owner and driver of the featured truck.

This truck and driver was being sought for trespassing at a residence on Dry Branch Road in Irvine that has been burglarized several times over the past few weeks. 

Estill County Sheriff Chris Flynn reports being inundated with calls and information
He states “with everyone’s help we were quickly able to identify the truck and confirmed it to be stolen from an individual here in the county about a week ago. Irvine Police Dept located the truck again this evening in the area of Dry Branch and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and a pursuit began. The Estill Co Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police joined the pursuit to assist. “

The pursuit ended at Lock 11 Road with the suspect being taken into custody and the truck being  returned to the rightful owner.
