Berea Police Department: Chestnut Street Vehicle Accidents Increase During October


According to the Berea Police Department, there was a slight increase in vehicle accidents in the Chestnut Street area during the month of October. Officers responded to six traffic accidents on one of the city’s most traveled roadways.

Four traffic accidents were reported on Walnut Meadow Road, and three accidents each occurred on Jill Street, I-75 N, I-75 S, and Estill Street. Ellipse Street, Prince Royal Drive, Peggy Flats Road and Richmond Road all saw two traffic accidents each. One accident was reported for the month on the following roads: Scaffold Cane, Prospect Street, I-75 N exit 77, Paint Lick Road, Mt. Vernon Road, McKinney Drive, Lorraine Court, KY 1016, Glades Road and Chapel Road.

Overall, the Berea Police Department say they investigated 21 crimes for the month, handled 38 reported collisions, issued 185 citations, made one courtesy call, responded to 8 domestic violence calls, along with 21 call responses.
