EKU Hoopfest Set For October 29


RICHMOND, Ky. – The 2021 EasternKentucky University Basketball Hoopfest, presented by Meijer, will be held Friday, Oct. 29 at Alumni Coliseum.

This year’s event will have a variety of features for fans of all ages. Trick-or-treating on the concourse level and in the Fred Darling Auxiliary Gym will open the night’s event with doors opening at 6 p.m.Within this space, there will be plenty of games, candy, photo opportunities, inflatables and food.

All children are encouraged to wear costumes, as they will have opportunities to get highlighted on the video board during the event. Free popcorn is available to all kids provided by Aramark. Concessions will be available for the entirety of the event.

The official Hoopfest basketball program will begin at 7 p.m. Head coaches A.W. Hamilton and Greg Todd will then introduce their teams, followed by team scrimmages. The EKU cheer and dance teams will also perform during the event.

Upon conclusion of the scrimmages, floor access will be given to all fans for an autograph session and a chance to meet each team. Free EKU Hoopfest T-shirts will be distributed at this time.
