The Bluegrass Narcotic Task Force, which is a conglomerate of Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Cynthiana Police Department, Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office and Paris Police Department conducted a drug investigation involving the sale of controlled substances of oxycodone as well as endangering the welfare of a minor in Paris.
According to the police department’s post on social media, the investigation resulted in a search warrant and during the search, a missing 5-year-old child was discovered hidden in the residence.
The suspect in the investigation, 26 year old Solomon Fields, of Paris, was arrested and charged with the following:
1. Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (3 counts)
2. Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, 1st Offense (Schedule 1 and 2) –( 2 counts)
3. Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, 1st Offense (COCAINE)
4. Trafficking in Marijuana 1st
5. Custodial Inference
In addition to those charges, the Paris Police Department is conducting the abduction investigation.
Bourbon County Attorney’s Office and the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office will be prosecuting the investigations in Bourbon County.
