The London and Laurel Rescue squad had a tall order on their hands amidst last night’s flash flooding when a missing person report turned to a swift water rescue.
The team reported near 1312 American Greeting Card Road, where the Rescue Squad deployed a boat team near the residence as well as a search team surrounding the property.
The subject’s shoes and sweater were found on the bank of Horse Creek. According to the post on social media by the rescue squad, the woman had been missing for approximately 2 hours at the time of the call.
The woman was located approximately 1/4 of a mile away downstream on the creek bank and turned over to EMS in stable condition. Also responding to the successful rescue were Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
