Richmond Police Department recently responded to a domestic violence call in the area of Villa Drive, where a man said that his partner had hit him and allegedly thrown expensive gaming computers and monitors off a balcony. According to the citation, officers arrived and spoke to Mark Brackett of Richmond, who said that his co-habitating partner had gotten into a verbal and later physical altercation with him over text messages on his phone.
Police continue that Brackett was allegedly slapped 15 times and punched over his face and body by the suspect, Denise Marie Calderon. The citation details that police were able to observe multiple scratches and bruising on the victim. Also during the row, Calderon had allegedly thrown two monitors and a gaming computer tower off a a balcony, totaling almost $4,000 worth of damage.
Calderon told police that she caught her partner cheating on her, which is why the fight turned physical. She also admitted to police to throwing the computer equipment out of anger. She was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and 4th degree assault (domestic violence) and was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
