School Board: 200 students ask for repeat year, schools plan in person and virtual in fall


There are a few new advancements that were discussed at Tuesday night’s Madison County School Board meeting. These include the passage of SB 128, where the Board says they have about 200 students that have ask to repeat, about 5 of which are seniors.

Also discussed, bus drivers are needed and a pay plan was passed to now pay for drivers to be reimbursed during their two week training. Drivers will also get $100 after 20 rides and then another $100 bonus after 40 rides.

Lastly, it was announced was that Madison County schools will be having in person school in the fall, but are also offering virtual school for those wanting it. Those interested need to reach out to their principal or guidance counselor.
