Two dead as a result of collision in Wolfe County


Two men are now deceased following a wreck in Wolfe County on Thursday. Police report that at approximately 7:05 a.m. Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call from Wolfe County Dispatch requesting assistance with a fatal collision.

Through the investigation, it was determined 47-year-old Ralph Wooton, of Jackson, Kentucky was traveling south on KY 15. Wooton was operating a Mustang when he crossed the center line and struck a Ford Explorer.

The Ford Explorer was being operated by 45-year-old Billy K. Adams of Blackey, Kentucky. Adams’s passengers, Billy S. Adams and Connie T. Adams were transported to Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson as a result of the collision.

Billy S. Adams was later transported by helicopter to the University of Kentucky Hospital for his injuries. Ralph Wooton and Billy K. Adams succumbed to their injuries at the scene and were pronounced deceased by Wolfe County Coroner Frank Porter.

Kentucky State Police was assisted by Wolfe County EMS. This collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Morehead.
