Deputies: Investigation Ensues After Husband and Wife Found Dead


**Update: preliminary investigations have concluded that the two died due to hypothermia.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s office report that they are currently investigating the death of two individuals in Eastern Laurel County. According to reports, sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence after an acquaintance conducting a welfare check found a male deceased outside the home and a female deceased inside on Sunday morning, February 21st around 10 a.m.

Deputies report that at the moment, the cause of death has not been determined, and an autopsy will be conducted Monday in Frankfort to determine the cause for 62 year-old James Duff and 63-year-old Dinah Duff, a husband and wife. Also assisting at the scene was the Laurel County coroner’s office, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and London Laurel Rescue Squad.
