Richmond Police made an arrest Monday following a stabbing. According to the Department, on February 1st, at around 6 a.m., officers responded to an apartment on North Third Street in reference to a male that had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers found a male with visible stab wounds on his face. According to witnesses, two men were engaged in a verbal argument, at which time one male pulled a knife and stabbed the other.
The two males were transported to a hospital, where they received treatment and were released. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old David L. Short of Richmond, was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree and Possession of Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree.
Short was lodged at the Madison County Detention Center.
