London Police Charge Two with Resisting Arrest Following Struggle


London Police recently responded to a domestic violence complaint with shots being fired at a residence located on Ray Overbay Road. Following an investigation, two individuals were arrested.

Upon officer arrival, two individuals were located inside the residence. Tasha Bowling and Ronnie Chadwell of London. Both reportedly became combative and non-compliant with the officers’ commands, before an altercation ensued.

According to police, Bowling physically assaulted both responding officers and attempted to disarm them. Officers were able to restrain Bowling and escorted her to a patrol vehicle. A firearm was located on Chadwell. Witnesses later informed officers that Chadwell had fired a weapon in the yard prior to their arrival.

Bowling and Chadwell were both arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Bowling was charged with four counts of 2nd Degree Wanton Endangerment of a Police Officer, two counts of 2nd Degree Wanton Endangerment, two counts of Attempting to Disarm a Peace Officer, 1st Degree Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Menacing.

Chadwell was charged with two counts of 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment, Menacing, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and 2nd Degree Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension.
