This Tuesday will mark one month since the disappearance of Lee County father Shawn Little.

Rescue crews near the Beattyville area began their search after Shawn Little was reported missing from his Short Hollow Subdivision Road home in the early morning hours of December 26th, 2020. Search and rescue officials were also informed that Little had stopped taking his prescription medication shortly before his disappearance.

A heavy snow which fell on Christmas Eve provided some valuable information to search and rescue teams, as they were able to follow what they believe were Little’s shoe prints from his residence to the banks of the river. Search crews spent the days immediately following his disappearance combing the banks of the river area for any additional signs of Little.

Organizations including Laurel County Search and Rescue, the Kentucky Search Dog Association, Campbellsville Fire & Rescue, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife have all provided assistance and equipment during the nearly month-long search for the Lee County native.

Additionally, numerous Kentucky residents with tracking and rescue backgrounds have joined in the search.
