Richmond Police officers arrested two individuals after being dispatched to a local business to investigate suspicious activity on Wednesday afternoon.
When police arrived on scene, they discovered a female subject reportedly under the influence of a controlled substance. The subject, later identified as Whitney Creech of Clay City, was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication. Upon her arrest, authorities say they located over $2,500 in cash, a handgun, 1.5 grams methamphetamine, 2.2 grams of heroin, 4.5 grams of cocaine, and 14 (Alprazolam) Xanax pills.
Creech was charged with numerous drug trafficking offenses in addition to 3rd Degree Public Intoxication.
During this time, officials were informed of a fight in progress in the business parking lot between two male subjects when one of them attempted to break into a vehicle. Tony Fugate of Clay City was found to be associated with Creech. Fugate was placed under arrest and police seized over $2,200 in cash, 75.2 grams of heroin, 45.1 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Richmond Police charged Fugate with numerous drug trafficking charges, possession of drug paraphernalia, 2nd degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and theft by unlawful taking from a vehicle.
Both Creech and Fugate were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
