KY Attorney General Daniel Cameron Visits Richmond for Drug Takeback Day, Domestic Violence Awareness

In this first segment of his interview with WBONTV’s Marisa Hempel, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron came to the station before his tour of Hope’s Wings Domestic Violence Shelter in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and to commend the work the local shelter does for endangered women and children.

Cameron also discussed the importance of the DEA’s Drug Takeback Day, which will be held this Saturday, October 24th at KSP Post 7 and the Richmond Police Department. The goal, Cameron explains, is to reduce the number of prescription or possibly abuse-able drugs in homes to fight the opioid epidemic. These drugs can be safely dropped off at locations across Kentucky Saturday, where they will be properly disposed of.

Stay tuned for part two of the one on one interview with the AG, where he discusses the contentious ongoing Breonna Taylor investigation and his response, his fight against child abuse and human trafficking across the Commonwealth, and the global pandemic.
