One Indiana man and a pair from Tennessee were arrested in Laurel County early Tuesday morning.
Laurel Sheriff’s Deputies located a suspicious vehicle in a business parking lot off KY 770 occupied by three individuals. During the police investigation, all three occupants were determined to be under the influence by officers. According to the citation; Gary Dean Garner of Muncie, Indiana; was found to be in possession of a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, oxycodone, suspected marijuana, digital scales, plastic bags with residue, a glass smoking pipes, and hypodermic syringes.
Garner was charged with 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Prescription Controlled Substances not in Proper Container, and Public Intoxication (Controlled Substances). Authorities determined that Garner was a wanted fugitive wanted by an Indiana Sheriff’s Office on a burglary charge at a residence.
Christopher Ray Brown and Brandi Collette Dugger of Greenville, Tennessee were both charged with Public Intoxication (Controlled Substances). Police say that Dugger stated she had used methamphetamine earlier. All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
