KSP: Man Charged with 7 Counts of Wanton Endangerment Following ‘Shots Fired’ in Construction Zone


The Kentucky State Police London Post is currently investigating an incident on I-75 in Laurel County near mile marker 46 that resulted in a man facing seven counts of wanton endangerment.

According to police, on August 31, around 11:00 p.m., KSP Post 11 was contacted by a road crew working in a construction zone. Crew members reported what they believed to be ‘shots fired’ in their direction.

KSP responded to the incident and through an investigation along with the Laurel County Sheriff’s office, 38-year-old Anthony L. Griffin of East Bernstadt was taken into custody.

Griffin was charged with seven counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and is lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
