Yesterday, Secretary of State Michael Adams led Kentucky’s discussion in a national election cyber exercise as part of “Tabletop the Vote 2020”, hosted by the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
Kentucky was one of 37 participating states engaged in discussions with federal, state and local election officials and national security officials. They met in virtual discussion rooms to solve mock problems before coming back together to share solutions to the various situations.
“Kentucky advanced our preparedness today, working through worst-case but realistic scenarios,” said Secretary Adams. “Our county clerks brought their A-game. While batting the curveball of COVID-19, we can’t take our eye off the ball on cybersecurity.”
