Fatal Somerset Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Dead, One Injured


The London Post of Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision that occurred on the Old Cumberland Parkway late Thursday night.

Investigators say a motorcycle was traveling west on Old Cumberland Parkway, when the driver lost control and struck a road sign head on.

The driver, 67 year-old George Cagle of Lexington, was airlifted the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he later died as a result of the injuries sustained during the collision. A passenger on the motorcycle at the time of the crash was also airlifted to the UK Medical Center with significant injuries.
