Madison County Sheriff’s Office: Group Arrested for Engaging in Organized Crime


From a press release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office:

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bradley Drive on a trailer theft complaint on June 17, 2020 around 2:51 a.m. Deputies, with assistance of Richmond Police Department, were able to stop a vehicle on KY 52 (Irvine Road) around Greens Crossing. 

The traffic stop resulted in the recovery of a stolen trailer and the arrest of three persons.

A subsequent investigation into the trailer theft, led investigators to a storage unit on Corporate Drive.  Two additional trailers and a zero turn mower which were determined to be stolen were recovered and returned to their owners.

On July 13, 2020, Joshua Riddle, 31 years old of Richmond was arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Crime after deputies determined he was paying employees to steal trailers and deliver them to the storage unit.  He was also charged with Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000.

Tyler Richmond, 22 years old, and Willie Murray, 28 years old, both of Richmond were also charged with Engaging in Organized Crime.  They received charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking and Possession of Burglary Tools relating from the June 17, 2020 trailer theft.

Issac Polly, 20, also of Richmond, was charged on June 17, 2020 with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Possession of Burglary Tools.  Polly is currently wanted on an active warrant for Engaging in Organized Crime.
