Laurel County Sheriff’s Office: Woman Shot at Victim, Put Bullet Through Ceiling


A London woman was arrested by Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies on Friday afternoon after allegedly shooting at a person with a handgun. Police were alerted to the situation when a report of an armed female subject in the Dees Road area came in.

Deputies conducted an investigation and learned that a domestic dispute had reportedly occurred there when Patricia Marcum fired the .22 caliber revolver into the ground near the victim outside the residence. Following this alleged incident, Marcum entered the residence firing another round into the ceiling, creating a dangerous and threatening situation according to police.

Patricia Marcum was charged with 4th Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Disorderly Conduct, 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening, and 2nd Degree Wanton Endangerment before being lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
