Richmond Police Report Spike in Cases of Theft from Vehicles

Officials from the Richmond Police Department are urging citizens to remember to lock their vehicles following a sudden rise of reported thefts.

Police say that firearms in particular account for a sizable portion of the items stolen from vehicles, and remind car owners to remove any valuable items from their vehicle and to lock the doors whenever they leave them unattended.
