London Police Make Arrest in Levi Jackson Park Death Investigation


Following the discovery of a deceased male body in Levi Jackson Park on Wednesday evening, London Police Department officials opened an investigation and the body was sent to Frankfort to undergo an autopsy.

The medical examiner determined that the death of James L. Mays of Lexington was a homicide. As their investigation continued, London Police connected 42 year-old Edward D. Brewer to the homicide.

Brewer was then arrested and charged with the murder of Mays before being lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
