Laurel County Thieves Try to Make Some Extra Dough by Stealing Bakery Delivery Truck

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered an unusual stolen vehicle on Thursday morning. The vehicle, a delivery truck, had been stolen from a London area bakery substation.

The truck was discovered approximately half a mile away from the bakery, where police observed that several items were missing. These items included a handcart, bread dollies, and several bakery goods. Some of these items were recovered by deputies early this morning.

Although the truck has been recovered, the investigation is still ongoing. Laurel County officers say they have developed leads on the theft and are now searching for a brown Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix that is believed to have been driven by the thieves.
