Richmond Parks and Rec to Host At Home Summer Camp

Richmond Parks & Recreation will be bringing an at-home Summer Camp program to the citizens of Richmond. This program will be in lieu of the traditional summer camp that the department typically offers each summer. Richmond Parks and Recreation will be providing a limited number of free kits per week for families that pre-register and pick-up during their designated time. The kits will contain a variety of activities, crafts, and other items for children to explore. The program will also include weekly online activities and information posted to the Richmond Parks and Recreation Facebook page (@richmondkyparks). The kits and online activities have been created for children ages 5-10, though they are fun for the whole family. To register for a kit please visit or follow us on Facebook. Each child, aged 5-10, may register to receive a Summer Camp At Home kit.

The program will begin Monday, June 8th and run through the week of July 30th. All kits are free, but there is a limited supply for each week and priority will be given to City of Richmond residents. The department will also be following all COVID-19 safety procedures during the organization and pick-up of the kits. When picking up your kit, you must arrive in the time slot you have chosen. Any questions about the program can be directed to or 859-623-8753.
