Mailbox Baseball Leads to Criminal Mischief Charge for London Man


A London man was arrested recently following an alleged string of incidents involving personal property destruction along the Barbourville Road area.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, a male subject was reported hitting residential mailboxes throughout the neighborhood with a baseball bat. After deputies were dispatched to the area, they discovered 29 year-old Nathan Davidson confronting two individuals. Davidson was reportedly screaming at and making threats towards them.

Deputies say they detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages on Davidson’s person, and following an investigation, it was determined that this individual had destroyed four mailboxes. According to police, he also tore down the front screen door and busted the front window of a residence there.

Upon arresting him, Davidson struggled with deputies before being taken into custody. Further reading of the citation indicates that he banged his head on the protective screen in the police cruiser after being placed in the cruiser. Davidson was charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Terroristic Threatening, Public Intoxication, 2nd Degree Disorderly Conduct, 1st Degree Criminal Mischief, 3rd Degree Criminal Trespassing, Resisting Arrest, and Menacing.
