Corbin Man Charged with Wanton Endangerment Following Alleged Struggle with Police

On Monday morning, Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint of a male subject passed out in a vehicle at a business parking lot. The business was located off of American Greeting Card Road, near London.

Upon arrival at the scene, police located a male subject apparently incapacitated inside his vehicle. Deputies observed a pistol in the lap of the subject, later identified as Dustin Bice. According to police, Bice awoke during an attempt made by an officer to retrieve the handgun. Authorities say Bice started grabbing for the weapon and a brief struggle ensued, however the weapon was able to be confiscated.

Further reading of the citation indicates that Bice refused to exit the vehicle and had to be removed by police. He was reportedly discovered to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Bice was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication (Controlled Substances), 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), 2nd Degree Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment. Bice was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
