Following reports of one their residents testing positive for COVID-19, Kenwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond has now released a statement addressing the speculation.
The statement confirms that a resident has in fact been diagnosed with COVID-19. Officials say that the patient in question had not exhibited any symptoms and was tested for non-related reasons. Upon receiving the information, the Madison County Health Department and Kentucky Department for Public Health were contacted as directed.
The statement goes on to reassure family members of Kenwood residents that staff will continue to follow COVID guidelines by properly using personal protective equipment, and working in co-opeartion with local physicians.
