EKU Men’s Basketball Adds a Player & Loses A Player This Offseason

Some EKU basketball news to report. First the good news the Colonels have added a local talent to next year’s team. Copper Robb, a sophomore, is transferring from Charlotte to Richmond. Robb played at Scott County. Robb played in 29 games last year starting a pair averaging 5 points a game. He played 21 minutes a game and snagged 3 rebounds a game for the 49ers. He will join former teammate Michael Moreno as a Colonel.

The bad news is that Darius Hicks as entered the transfer portal and will be leaving EKU. Hicks followed Head Coach AW Hamilton from NC State. He had to sit out a season as a transfer but was expected to become a contributor for the Colonels last season. Hicks saw action in 20 games for EKU averaging 23 minutes a contest and scoring 6 points a game. He also averaged 5.5 rebounds a game.

Every season teams all across the country see changes on their roster and more players have entered the transfer portal this season than last. As welcome Copper to the Colonel family we want to thank Darius for his time here and wish him the best with his next team.
