Local Author, Businessman gets his ‘Hustle’ on with Debut Richmond-Centric Novel

A local author is making his official debut with a Madison County-inspired story, based around some local haunts that readers would recognize.

Author Wesley Browne sat down with us in the Wallingford studios to talk about how the ideas for Hillbilly Hustle came about, and what readers can expect.

Browne says that the story is fictionalized, but that readers will resonate with local areas such as Purdy’s Coffee, the Paddy Wagon, and areas of Jackson and Estill Counties among others.

There will be readings, signings, and lager tappings (of a beer with the namesake of the novel!) this Thursday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Georgetown and Lexington County Boy Brewing locations, respectively.

You can get more information on the events in both Lexington and Georgetown this Thursday the 27th, as well as a list of a myriad of other local signings on Browne’s website. You can also find links to buy the book at this site.
