Suspect in 2011 Montgomery County Murder Case Pleads Guilty to Lesser Charges

A Clay City woman charged with murder and robbery in a 2011 case pleaded guilty Thursday to lesser charges.

The court hearing was held in Montgomery County where Natasha Martin, Cody Hall, and Nickie Miller were initially charged with the murder of Paul Brewer after he was discovered shot in his home. However, murder charges were later dropped against both Hall and Miller.

According to court documents, Martin entered a guilty plea for the charges of facilitation of murder and 2nd degree complicity to commit robbery, which would yield a considerably shorter sentence.

The plea agreement carries with it a recommendation of 15 years, the combined maximum amount of time possible for both charges. The sentencing of Martin is scheduled for February.
